It’s time to see 2023's most talked about film on the harbour with your besties. Margot Robbie shines, and yes she shines, as Barbie. Ryan Gosling flexes, and yes he flexes, as a fabulous Ken. The film follows Barbie and Ken on a journey of self-discovery following an existential crisis. Questioning her world and her existence Barbie decides to leave Barbieland, a matriarchal society where women are self-confident, self-sufficient, and successful, and explore the real world. Along the way, she meets different versions of herself and learns about the diversity and complexity of humanity. She also realises that she has feelings for Ken, but man, he really needs to get his s*#t together.
