"A delicious pastry of a movie -- You see it, and later when you think about it, you smile."
Chicago Sun-Times

On Valentine’s Day, a film filled with beautiful ideas and images, and which celebrates the mystery underpinning our closest connections. Amélie lives in a golden tinged Paris, and, in a world of her own. She works in a café and rents an apartment, all the time surrounded by peculiar, wonderful characters. Life is good…. except that she's lonely. Then everything changes. When Amélie discovers an old box of childhood treasures in her apartment and returns it secretly to its middle-ages owner, it transforms his life - and hers.

A fanciful comedy shot in over 80 Parisian locations, with Amélie, acclaimed director Jean-Pierre Jeunet ("Delicatessen"; "The City of Lost Children") invokes his incomparable visionary style to capture the exquisite charm and mystery of modern-day Paris through the eyes of a beautiful ingenue.
