When talented chef Almut (Florence Pugh) runs over freshly divorced Tobias (Andrew Garfield) a match is struck that will light a fire. As they fall for each other and embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken. Director John Crowley’s decade-spanning film, told through nonlinear snapshots, paints a powerful picture of love and loss.

We’re thrilled to be partnering again with the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), to celebrate and showcase Australia’s emerging filmmaking talent through a selection of extraordinary short films. We are delighted to announce that QUIET NIGHT THOUGHT will screen ahead of WE LIVE IN TIME. Directed by Yuxin Cao, this poignant short film follows a peasant girl and a loyal soldier as they exchange letters, exploring themes of love, marriage, and longing from afar. Run time: 7 minutes.
