OUR STORY

Now in its 28th season, OpenAir has become an iconic and much loved feature of Sydney’s arts and cultural calendar.

Set against a backdrop that spans the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and city skyline, OpenAir is that ultimate Sydney summer moment.

The film program is positioned as a festival of film, and those who’ve strutted our red carpet include Nicole Kidman, Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, Simon Baker, Hugo Weaving, Mia Wasikowska, Jemima Khan, Frances O’Connor and Oscar-winning directors Jane Campion and Danny Boyle.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:

"One of the most magical events our city offers - a silver screen rising out of the harbour, the glorious backdrop of bridge, Opera House and stars. But mostly I love that it’s a triumph of ideas over rules."
ANGELA MOLLARD, THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPH
