From director Luca Guadagnino (CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, A BIGGER SPLASH) comes an adaptation of William S. Burroughs semi-autobiographical novel. Set in 1950s Mexico City, the film centres on William Lee, an American expatriate in his late forties, who has been living an isolated life within a small community of fellow ex-pats. His world changes when he encounters Eugene Allerton, a vibrant young student who encourages Lee to step out of his emotional isolation and form a meaningful bond. Their developing relationship delves into themes of yearning, love, and self-identity, as Lee starts to break free from his solitary existence.

“The weight of it all comes down to Craig, and he’s a wonder in a fedora, dirt stains on his linen pants. “Queer” is a reminder of how good an actor he is and how brave he can be — naked, needy and noxious. You’ll be shaken and stirred.”ABC News

“In Queer, Luca Guadagnino meets William S. Burroughs on the iconoclast’s own slippery terms and the result is mesmerizing.”The Hollywood Reporter
